A set of 2 champagne glasses with the unique theme of tribal dance. The tribal hold their hands together to form a circle around the glass. The tribal faces, bodies and clothes are detailed in nature and it gives a glimpse on the ancient traditions. The little Human figures appear to be standing on the base of the glass which resembles base of the stem in its metal thread design. The design is inspired by the prehistoric folk art Dhokra which dates back to Indus Valley civilization.
The craft used “Dhalai” , also known as sand molded casting, is a metal casting process characterized by using sand as the mold material. Casting is a craft process by which a liquid material is usually poured into a mold, which contains a hollow cavity of the desired shape, and then allowed to solidify. The solidified part is ejected or broken out
of the mold to complete the process.
