Maria and Muria are one of the most primitive tribal groups of India still following megalithic practices. The serving spoons listed here are inspired by the Maria and Muria tribes. Fine designs shows how the tribal ladies wear their hair in a top side bun and bison horn worn by male member especially during harvest dances. The spoons also show carving of the ornaments worn by them.

The craft used “Dhalai” , also known as sand molded casting, is a metal casting process characterized by using sand as the mold material. Casting is a craft process by which a liquid material is usually poured into a mold, which contains a hollow cavity of the desired shape, and then allowed to solidify. The solidified part is ejected or broken out
of the mold to complete the process.

This cutlery stands as a reminder of ancient traditions, music, harvest dances and simple joys.
